Fresco rips in Florence

Until 17 July 2011, at the Hall of Columns in Pontassieve near Florence, fifteen interesting specimens from the works by Giampaolo Talani are to be exposed. Deeply interested in fresco painting, this artist knows how to create gems of strong impact and convey multi-faceted feelings to the visitors who travel to Florence.

The construction is characterized according to a tearing technique: the first tear is aimed at safeguarding the work from the action of time, transferring it on the canvas medium. The second and third rips are the innovations introduced by the author, which preserve the product more effectively, through the use of a refined and functional method.
